Km 4: Englischer Garten
The track is going further through the “English Garden”. The park was estabilshed in 1789 along the Isar River and is with 3.7 km2 one of the largest urban parks in the world. It is 30 hectares larger than the central park. The name refers to its English garden form of informal landscape, a style popular in England from the mid-18th century to the early 19th century.
Km 5: Monopteros
The Monopteros is a round ancient Greek style temple which stands on a small man-made hill in the English Garden and was designed by Leo von Klenze. A beautiful view of the city is offered by the Monopteros. This monument was added in 1836 to the park.

Further, one of the four elements air, water, fire and earth are located on every bridge abutment.

When
The Make a Wish Panoramic Sponsor Fun Run English Garden will start immediately after the closing ceremony on Friday September 21. We will leave all together from the Carl Orff hall.
What to wear
Since we are all surgeons from different parts of Europe at different hospitals, it would be great to show this diversity in our clothing. Therefore we will be running in our operating theatre shirts. Please bring a shirt form your own hospital, in this way we can show Munich that the European craniomaxillofacial community is running for Make a Wish!
We would like to ask you to hand in your shirt at our stand at the industrial exhibition during the conference. We will make sure your startingnumber is attached to the shirt.
Of course it is not feasible to join the conference in your running clothes. Therefore, there are changing rooms within the conference venue, the Gasteig. You can hand in all your personal belongings at the cloakroom. It is only a 5 minute walk back to the Gasteig from the Biergarten to collect all your personal belongings.
